Wash the cherry tomatoes thoroughly and cut them in half.
In an earthenware or non-stick skillet, heat 4 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the minced garlic clove, let it sizzle until fragrant, then add the cherry tomatoes. Stir well and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper, then add the monkfish steaks. Cook for 5 minutes, making sure to flip them very gently at least once.
Add the olives, capers, and roughly chopped fresh parsley, then adjust salt and pepper to taste. Let the flavors meld for another 2 minutes, and serve the monkfish with cherry tomatoes hot.
