Pork Chops with Beer and Aromatic Herbs
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops
- 100 ml amber beer (red ale)
- 40 g extra virgin olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme
- Zest of ½ lemon
- Fine salt, to taste
Instructions
- To prepare the pork chops with beer and herbs, start by cleaning and finely mincing the garlic, herbs, and lemon zest.
- Arrange the pork chops on a cutting board and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet and cook the pork chops for 5–6 minutes per side.
- Transfer the chops to a plate and set aside. In the same skillet, add the minced herb mixture and the beer.
- Let the sauce reduce for about a minute, stirring well, then turn off the heat.
- Place the pork chops on serving plates and drizzle each with the beer sauce.
- Serve immediately while piping hot.
